2,5 million Euro raised for MS research and support in Italy

During the first week of October 2023, the Italian MS Society in cooperation with all its branches organised La Mela di AISM (AISM’s apple) and raised 2,5 million Euro towards a scientific research, in Italy and world-wide, and to support the needs of people with MS and related disorders.

Every year the Italian MS Society dedicates the first weekend of October to La Mela di AISM, a big awareness and fundraising initiative that take place throughout the country. This initiative was also formally acknowledged by the President of the Italian Republic.

During the event, a specific call to action was launched to support an important scientific project promoted by the Italian MS Society and its Foundation – “PROMOPRO-MS DIGITAL EDITION” This project aim is to evaluate the progression of the disease and predicting its course. People with MS  will participate in the research by monitoring their perception of health status with the help of a digital app and contributing to the customisation of therapeutic treatments.

And once again, we need to say – thank you!

Such an effort would not be possible without the commitment of an incredible movement of 14.000 volunteers that offered apple bags in almost 5.000 Italian streets and squares and raised 2,5 million Euro.
