Beatriz Martínez

Beatriz Martínez de la Cruz was elected as an EMSP  Board member in APril 2026. She is the CEO of the Spanish MS Society (Esclerosis Múltiple España), where she leads efforts to defend the rights of people living with multiple sclerosis, promote access to treatments, and support research. Her work focuses on improving patient experience and quality of life through advocacy, collaboration, and strategic initiatives.

She holds a degree in Biology, specialising in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics, and brings over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Her work experience spans Corporate and Public Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, Health Communication, Clinical Operations, and Patient Advocacy.

Over the cours eof her career, she has  built strong partnerships with healthcare professionals, patient organisations, scientific societies, and policymakers, driving impactful projects and initiatives. She is particularly focused on fostering collaboration, enhancing patient engagement, and advancing access to innovative treatments.

With a strategic mindset and strong communication and leadership skills, Beatriz is committed to creating meaningful change for patients and contributing to the continuous development of the healthcare ecosystem
