EMSP at ECTRIMS 2018: 10-12 October, Berlin, Germany
03.10.2018The 34th Congress of the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS) will take place between 10 and 12 October in Berlin, Germany. ECTRIMS is the world’s largest annual international conference devoted to basic and clinical research in multiple sclerosis and gathers over 10,000 MS stakeholders from across the globe this year.
EMSP will be represented with its own exhibition stand (C15) where MS stakeholders can meet our staff, learn more about our mission and activities.
On Wednesday, 11th October at 15:45, we will co-host a session on employment at the Biogen Hospitality Lounge (MultiplepathS Theatre, Level 1), highlighting the largest study on MS & the Cost of Illness, in addition to the strategies and best practices for people with MS to stay in the workforce. The panel will include Pedro Carrascal, President of EMSP, Dr. Gisela Kobelt, health economist and Birgit Bauer, MS patient representative who will share their views on the importance of employment for people with MS in preventing poverty, bringing financial security, as well as a sense of self-worth and independence.
EMSP will also host a meeting on the MS Data Alliance collaborative project, that aims to improve health-and social care for people with Multiple Sclerosis by making existing MS registries in Europe “fit for purpose” to support informed decision-making processes by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), by pricing and reimbursement bodies and – last, but not least – by health care professionals.
