‘From Proposal to reality’ – On-line event by the European Disability Forum (EFD)

The European Commission proposed a law for a new European Disability Card and a European Parking Card. The Disability Card would provide mutual recognition of disability for EU citizens during short stays in other EU countries.

This proposal follows years of pilot projects and demands – and it’s not a reality yet.

The European Commission made a first proposal, but the European Parliament and the Council of EU (that represents EU countries) need to set their positions and negotiate for the final text. This is the moment to put a spotlight in our demands and for organisations and individuals to share what they want the Card to be.
